Our bank had fewer than 50 people come in all day, and the vast majority of them just wanted to get change after hitting up the ATM. I work in Oakland. I never saw the neighborhood as dead as it was today. I felt like I was in the scene from the end of the original Resident Evil when the protagonist first leaves the hospital and sees nobody else around her in zombie-infested Raccoon City. I was really upset I had to cut my Thanksgiving gathering with my family five hours away short to come in just so people who didn't have debit cards ("cuz I don't trust them") could get quarters for the meters.

I'm very certain UPMC is at least a decade away from Umbrella Corporation style experiments that can make a zombie.

HA! I was thinking more like 4-6 years away. Hell, some of the people walking around Oakland look like they've already been infected with the "T" virus!

I went from my house to Squirrel Hill today. There was no traffic whatsoever and plenty of parking.
