While we were visiting Pennsylvania in June, my husband and I were invited to an evening Pirates game! We’ve only been to Yankee games before, so we were looking forward to it. We’d never been to Pittsburgh before, either.

We bought cute Pirates shirts and our hosts drove us to Pittsburgh, where we proceeded to get lost. There are so many rivers!

Pittsburgh looks like a very interesting city, with some cool, funky-looking buildings! Hopefully, we can explore the city one day.

Anyway, we finally got to the stadium and had a great time! The stadium is cute, the Pirates were hot (at the time), and the crowd was cheerful and went wild whenever the Pirates scored, and especially when the Pirates won!

We immediately adopted the Pirates as our “little team that could”. They are now our second team (sorry, we are loyal to the Yankees!) We were sorry to see them fade down the stretch, but they were a spunky little team!

Maybe next year will be the Pirates year!

Some of my pics may be a little crooked since I was sitting in my seat while taking them!

. . . to be continued

The #1 ballpark in the nation, not so much the team it houses.

For the record, there are only 3 Rivers.

Glad you had a good time, I used to attend at least 40 ballgames per season back in the day, not so much now.
