While Woodland Hills obviously has issues, the issues still aren't what they were in the past with tension between people from different neighborhoods. IMO, Woodland Hills was a completely wrong way to deal with the situation they were trying to correct at the time. What kind of a fool ever thought putting a bunch kids from neighborhoods that hate each other would would solve a segregation problem? These were all seperate towns anyway so it wasn't as if each borough was splitting up their kids by race, they just happened to live in different towns. This would be like making Penn Hills and Plum merge today in an effort to integrate the two.

Truthfully, from the video I saw, it didn't look like 60 people were fighting, and there has only been 15 arrests. I'm no fan of the Woodland Hills School District, but this was overhyped by the media.
When I saw it also and they said 70 people were involved, I was wondering where they got that idea from a video that showed probably 20 at most.

One can't act like this is normal/horsing around behavior between kids while at the same time wonder why many people maybe don't want to raise their kids near the city.
Hey now! We city-dwellers shouldn't have to take credit for this.

EDIT: Also, did you not grow up in the UK?

Is it possible parents involved were bad kids growing up and have passed that along to their kids?

Where's Uptown Kid, he usually knows what's happening.

I think a better title to this thread would be, "Hey Churchill and Edgewood, how is that merger treating you?" That judge sure messed things up. So sad to do that to such nice areas. Oh well, it is what it is. Strange folks. I feel sorry for them all and really all the neighborhoods that have to be around such a thing.

15 arrests, yeah, nothing to see here. Sorry, but that video and just the entire scene is so uncivilized. What is wrong with those people?

Aw, c'mon, Hopes. Everyone knows The Welfares don't like to play by our middle class rule book, any more than they like to marry before having children. A juggalo family that fights together, stays together.

Culture wars...

For those raised middle class and up, shocking! What is society coming to?!
For those raised in a bit rougher environment, a few more meatheads went at it than usual. Big whoop.

As one of the lucky ones who was born the latter and climbed the ladder to the former, I do find people's sheltered notions of what is "normal" amusing. Asking someone who has lived his whole life in the middle class what they think of something like this is like asking a fish what he thinks of water...
