On a clear day you can see the skyline from the top of the Laurel Ridge south of Seven Springs. While you can only make out the biggest buildings, it certainly is surprising to be able to see anything at all.

I also like the view from Kennedy Center shopping plaza. It's often slightly disorienting as I forget that area is pretty far northwest of town as opposed to due west, making for an interesting viewpoint.

Are those shots taken from the office/industrial park that's up the hill off of Lorish Rd? It sure looks like it. If not, that's another great spot. Head up that way and go into the parking lot of Three Rivers Optical. Their parking lot goes right to the edge of the hill overlooking the valley towards the city. And from other various places up in that complex you can see the city, Mckees Rocks Bridge, and even the Western Penitentiary.

You know what, I took these pics a few years back, and the memory was foggy. Those pics at the bottom were taken in Kennedy not Robinson. In fact, I started shooting in Kennedy, and as I worked my way down the hill into McKees Rocks, I pulled into the very hilly, St Mary's Cemetery, which is another great spot to get some shots.

LOVE those shots from Kennedy. Also the one from Spring Hill Cemetery--the curve of the bridge looks cool in that view.

There is a pretty interesting view of the skyline coming inbound down Steuben St in Elliot right before you get to Lorenz Ave. It's brief, but it leads me to believe there would be some nice viewpoints from somewhere on that hill looking towards the West End gap between Mt Washington and the West End Overlook.
