Indeed, they do! My grandmother stuck a golf club in my hand when I was two, and I haven't looked back since...

I think my username makes it pretty easy to guess.

I pronounce it "Tinair" in my mind. It's like your French. I realize now it's more like "Tina Rae."

Hopefully I'll get the fever too. It would make hubby happy. He has been wanting to golf with me for years. I always thought I was being a great wife by not interfering with his man time. I'm flattered he wants me there.

You'd think, huh? Sometimes people think "Hopes" is male. What male would pick a name like Hopes?

100% male here, if ya know what I mean.

Have to admit, I was surprised to know that Velvet Jones was male.

It was my brother's nickname for me when I was little from hearing my mother yell "Christina Marie" way, way too many times, and that turned into Tina Ree. A high school friend picked up on it when she heard my brother teasing me once using the name since it was like my "being bad" name and she started spelling it Tinare.

Seriously, Velvet is? I originally thought it was a male and like a pimp name, but I thought at one point they said they were a woman. So, it is a man?

I've always done the same thing, Tinare, and assumed you were "Tinair". So far no surprises for me with the poll, although I, too, didn't know Velvet Jones was a male (assuming Copanut is correct)!

In response to Caladium's point most people who post on City-Data, and especially on our forum, tend to be on the more well-read side and (hopefully) wouldn't harbor any ill-conceived notions about someone based upon gender. Men and women are free to hate me just the same!

I didn't see 'bro' on the list so I just clicked male.
