Hey guys,

I'm going to visit the Burgh in March and I'll be there for a week. I'm going to have quite a lot of free time on my hands and since I don't have any friends there, I was thinking of passting time by watching movies. I'm a big foreign movies fan and I was wondering if there are theaters showing foreign movies in Pittsburgh? How many of them are there? Is there a decent amount of foreign movies playing, ie. is there a lot of choice? Thanks for any replies. Much appreciated.

Once upon a time, the Denis Theatre would have been one place you'd be interested in. I'm not sure how regularly they're open nowadays, however. Here's a link: Denis Theatre Foundation - Home

Then there are the theatres associated with Pittsburgh Filmmakers, the Regent Square, in the neighborhood of the same name, the Melwood in Oakland, and the Harris Theatre downtown.

There's also the Manor Theater in Squirrel Hill. It occasionally shows foreign films.

There's not too much to pick from anymore aside from the occasional film series. The three theaters part of the Pittsburgh Filmmakers, as jay8538 said, will have one or two a month.

Dormont's Hollywood Theater usually has a few each month:

They have ten showing next weekend:

Pennsylvasia: Three Asian films at "13 Hours of Grindhouse", February 23.

Carnegie Mellon will run an international film series in March and April:

Faces of Media | The 2013 Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival

CMU and the University of Pittsburgh have film series throughout the year, so check out the department webpages for the country or culture you're interested in. They're doing an Anime Film Series in February, and there's a Latin-American film series starting at the end of February (can't find the link now). These are usually free and open to the public, and take place somewhere on their campuses.
