You gotta start cleaning up somewhere. Maybe this will signal the end of the old guard?

Luke Ravenstahl is just clamouring for everyone's attention. In his mind, he believes he's the self-proclaimed, chest-beating savior of the city. The sooner he's out of office, the better. Pittsburgh needs a breath of fresh air for once.

There's good corruption and bad corruption. Pittsburgh's had more of the former.

Coming from New England, there was a time when a lot of mayors had mob ties. Some used that power to get a lot of good stuff done (Bridgeport, Providence, Lowell). Bridgeport's Joe Ganim and Providence's Buddy (Spaghetti Sauce) Cianci both went to the hoosegow for assorted crimes, but left their cities shinier and happier.

Others just abused the power in slimy ways (Waterbury, ewww).

What a County!!!
The actual issues aside, just seeing these people profiled on the news is almost a surreal experience. Some of them are so bizarre. Especially the Orie sisters. The Pittsburgh political scandals are like something out of a comic book.
