I don't think I understand your question, there is no gentrification in Braddock.

I didn't know that Braddock had much gentrification yet.

But the idea is to find inexpensive housing and fix it up for yuppie use.

You've already seen it in South Side, Lawrenceville, and its moving right along over in Garfield and the Central North Side.

Good opportunity for folks to open the boutiques, coffee shops and dog grooming parlors for the new residents if its happening in Braddock.

It's not happening. They're just trying and very hopeful. It may happen someday but not in the near future.

I'd open a business there in a heartbeat if I thought anyone would ever walk through the door.

1. They aren't gentrifying.

2. They aren't posers

3. They are DIY punks and artists and hippies with a small community.

4. They dont want gentrification

He didn't inspire all of the people there. The folks that I know didn't know him when they moved there, though they've worked with him on many grass roots things in the borough.

Does he? He wants Braddock to improve, but I haven't gotten the impression from what I've seen of his interviews that he wants the current base population to be pushed out, which is a key part of the concept of gentrification and why it carries a negative connotation for those who care about social justice. Though I'm not an expert on Fetterman, so I may very well be wrong.
