Yeah, I got a ticket for going through a yellow light because the cop trying to turn left had to make a Pittsburgh left through the red after waiting for me to go through the intersection. To make matters worse, he peeled out in the middle of the intersection and made a u-turn to come after me and ran up over the curb onto the sidewalk in the process. I got it thrown out just by showing up to court though.

that's not a pittsburgh left, that's just running a red light!

a pittsburgh left is when you turn left just after the light turns green, before the oncoming traffic starts.

it's also not even close to unique to pittsburgh but that's a topic for another thread!

Really glad to hear that they arrested the cyclist. A cyclist is a vehicle, that means that you need to follow the laws of traffic, just as you would in a car or on a motorcycle. That also means that you should be treated with the same respect. People that like destroy cycling for us that enjoy it and follow the laws
