I was riding through town last night on Grant st. and noticed there is a hockey banner on the court house, who approves this type of stuff? I think it's a tad bit tacky and unprofessional. I understand the pens are doing well, but that has no business on the courthouse.

Just my two pennies

Its all for fun. Relax. This happens in many cities where sports teams do well I'm sure. I can guess how you feel about the bar that isnt serving Boston beer now too.

Yes, I agree cities should embrace their sport teams when they're doing we'll. I just feel pgh goes overboard. Yes, I feel the Boston beer band is a bit childish.

The banner isn't bad, but it is safe to assume that right now somebody in being wheeled into surgery surrounded by people wearing jerseys. That would be a little scary if I were on the gurney.

That's nothing new. Cities in the US and Canada have been doing food/beverage bans and/or food/beverage re-naming for decades.

It did wonders in giving a small bar most people never heard of free publicity. Mission accomplished on their end.

Of course the irony is that Pittsburgb Brewing was the first to brew Sam Adams

That particular dive probably doesn't have anyone drinking that beer anyhow. I'm suprised that they even carry such a pricy brew. I can't see a place dissing regular customers by taking it off the menu if they did.
