Good idea, but I looked on the art website and there is one metalsmith. He is from Connellsville, which would be okay, but he doesn't advertise railings. Ah, I might look at people in Ohio for the job.

Maybe you were throwing out an indecisive, douchey, cheapskate vibe that he didn't want to deal with? Just a theory...

Are you still upset about your school district rating at almost the bottom of the entire state? It was just a statistic and I can't control those.

Church Brew Works is really average food and beer at an inflated place due to the awesome setting. Pretty much sums the place up. North Country has good food and their beer is decent. Better craft beer can be found all over the metro however.

I'm surprised by North Country's sudden popularity, a lot of people have been talking about it and they're even going to start canning their beers to distribute. Guess word of mouth finally traveled here after years and years.

I've found professional bartenders to be a pretty good judge of character. That he blew you off as not worth his time seems to say more about you than him...to me at least.

The last time I was in Church Brew Works they had an awesome black pepper whit beer. The food is admittedly mediocre, but no worse (IMO) than many of the brewpubs in the city.

It's also fairly family-friendly given it's essentially a giant bar, so we find ourselves there semi-often. It's a little too far from us to walk though, and the parking situation there is almost always nuts (as in, when it's at half capacity there's no spaces left in the lot or the nearby streets at all).

looks like an interesting place, the western pa beer market is growing I think so maybe that accounts for the popularity, the region is somewhat deficient in brewpubs (which spells opportunity).

Not surprising. I've long said that the influx of 20-somethings into the city proper would translate to a baby boom once they all started rutting at one another.

Sometimes school districts get swindled by job applicants who have fake degrees. I wonder how that doesn't get into the statistics.
