Neither of which go anywhere near Miller Park.

There is a special MCTS (Milwaukee's transit system) bus that operates between downtown Milwaukee and Miller Park. The Milwaukee Intermodal Station (the Amtrak/Greyhound station) is I think 2-3 blocks south of the street (I want to say Wisconsin Avenue) on which the Brewers route operates. Megabus also stops across the street from the Intermodal Station (or at least it did in the past).

I actually used Amtrak/Megabus to travel between Chicago and Milwaukee and the aforementioned Brewers bus route to travel between downtown Milwaukee and Miller Park while taking a trip to Chicago (and seeing the White Sox split a pair of games, as well as seeing the Cubs lose twice ) in 2009.

Well, we could take a train downtown (the wrong way), hop on another train (or bus), then hop on a(nother) bus all the way out to the stadium. And if we're lucky we'll be home by 2 in the morning, provided we don't miss the last Megabus out of town.

Or we could hop on I-94 a block away and drive straight up there in just over an hour (whereas by PT we won't even be out of Chicago city limits within an hour) and home at a reasonable time.

Yeah... I think we'll drive.

Anyway, back to the Pirates...

I have to love the irony that the chances are likely that their streak will be broken in Milwaukee, a place that has given the Pirates problems for quite some time

I'm just personally glad it very likely won't be at home. I'd feel borderline embarrassed to be part of a crowd that's celebrating 81-82 wins like something meaningful was actually accomplished.

At this point, I'll take it.

Cards lose too.

Can't make it to the game in Milwaukee tomorrow but I'll try to catch 'em at Wrigley later in the month. Hopefully it'll still be a race rather than a foregone conclusion one way or the other by then. Thankfully the Cubs have sucked so bad the last two years that a reasonable person can actually afford tickets for the first time in a decade.

I'll drink to that - beer is so much more than a breakfast drink

Even made NPR Morning Edition before 7am.
