When threads get this long, a lot of people tune out -- when threads go bad -- they really tune out... you'd get a better response making a whole new thread of this question...

I'm looking for one. It is not with the standard set of city maps.

Pittsburgh Map

They might not show the map for because it could be contrued as "favoritism" since people woudl be able to move into an area based on school district.

(We can't even get family and friends to go to Pittsburgh when they come to visit because they think it's a slum.)

Therefore, I plead with you to move to an area outside of Allegheny county. Property taxes and crime are low. It's a quick drive to shopping and work. The public and private schools are excellent. Great colleges are located in surrounding counties. Even the Catholic church has seen greener pastures and is building new schools in Butler county and closing ones in Pittsburgh. Again, I suggest a move to Westmoreland, Washington, Beaver, Armstrong, or Butler counties. Please keep the home appreciations rising in the outlying counties! Thanks!

my husband and i live in westmoreland county and it isn't much better. not as bad as pittsburgh but not much better either. then again i guess it all depends where you live

I moved away 10 months ago. They plow better, easily. Still not good, compared with nys standards, but a hell of a lot better than here.

Again, we are just gonna have to agree to disagree. From what I have seen here thus far, and what I know of Erie, I would have to say all the city services, plowing included, are better.

After living in Erie for over 36 years, I tell everyone down here how much better the roads are taken care of. There are whole neighborhoods in Erie, and mind you, very nice, upper middle class neighborhoods, that have their streets go untreated and unplowed for the whole winter. The crews that take care of Frick Park do a better job of salting the walkways into the park than the sidewalks are taken care of in Erie.

And I honestly don't know how anyone can complain about plowing in Metro Pittsburgh anyway. Since I've lived here for a year and we'll say three months, I can remember two, maybe 3 at the most, situations where any plowing was necesary to begin with.
