There is nothing to worry about in Mount Lebanon, especially the section you are looking at. Is someone telling you otherwise???

I live in Upper Saint Clair just to the South and drive through there every day on my way to work, it is a very nice place and has a nice business district on Washington Road.

I have yet to find a not so good area in Mt. Lebanon but I would say the worst area is where Scott Road meets Liberty Avenue (this may officially be Dormont). It is not bad but a little run down compared to all the well kept stone and brick houses you usually find in Mt. Lebanon.

Yeah that is right at the edge of Mt. Lebo, some call it Dormont but that is the most "lackluster" area you will find pretty much.

I understand how you feel. I definitely wouldn't sign up for anything sight unseen.

We just moved to Mt Lebanon and found that it was the place where people move when they have kids, very, very safe. And full of kids and family activities!

When we first moved to Mt. Lebo it took a while to sink in just how safe it was. My kids would go out and play on the sidewalk and I would be constantly checking on them. After a while I realized what a waste of energy that was! Likewise, it came as a bit of a shock the first time the neighborhood kids were out at night in the backyard playing flashlight tag. Again- no worries- turns out its a popular and safe summer thing for kids to do in Lebo.
