Hello and thank you so much for reading this.

I am trying to help my mother move out of her too-large house and into an apartment in or near West View (Ross, Bellevue, and surrounding neighborhoods). I actually live in NYC so I've been relying on craigslist to search and it is hard to find many options and know the quality of the apartments and apartment complexes.

Does anyone happen to know of a great apartment building, large or small, in or near West View that is clean and well taken care of? My mother is a senior but she does not need to live in a seniors-only building, although we'd consider that too (but she doesn't need assisted living or anything like that).

I know that brokers don't exist in Pgh like they do in NYC, and that realtors there don't really handle rentals - but does anyone have any other advice for finding a place? Are there any other good local services or websites that I could look at?

Thank you!
V.N.

My elderly uncle lived in the Chateau Perry apartments just north of West View in Ross Township and liked it.

I also lived in Chateau Perry and enjoyed it. It's not a building for seniors, but it did have many senior residents. It was very well taken care of, has laundry, fitness center, and a swimming pool, and plentiful parking. Definitely worth checking out!
