Hopefully they build the cracker plant to try and offset these job losses. This is a huge loss to the pittsburgh metro region.

They are talking some really low pay for some of those positions at the new plant. I inadvertently responded to one of their headhunter's ads.

You know, before they were Horsehead, they were New Jersey Zinc. They left behind a Superfund site in Palmerton. I would not be surprised if the cracker deal falls through in Beaver due to some other mess they left for the taxpayers to clean up.

Not only that, but the piping network they are building may elimate the need for a plant around these parts.
