WDVE acts like it's listeners are driving around in early 70s muscle cars with mag wheels and mullet heads..Oh wait!
What a sorry excuse for a radio station that considers itself a "rock station."

The same could have been said for WXDX had it lasted longer than it did. They mostly stuck with the same playlist from beginning to end. By the time they went off the air most of the stuff they were playing could arguably be considered classic rock. Weird indeed.

And yeah, just the other day I spotted a mullet sporting yinzer getting out of his Monte Carlo SS at a gas station....Complete with tight rolled acid washed jeans and white high top tennis shoes. I laughed at those people in the 90's. I felt sorry for them in the early 2000's. Now I'm just disturbed by them.

Yupp. I believe that nobody else in any city in the US does these things

Yeah, you're right. Pittsburgh doesn't have a reputation of being 20 years behind the times. What was I thinking? Shame on me for ever insinuating that about this progressive, modern, borderline tropical city of champions.

Reputations are often exaggerations.

Too bad 95% of people aren't like this now for you.

I'm just gonna come right out and ask....How much can I make if I join your side of the argument and spend as much time posting in these forums as many of you do? I think I've proven myself as a pretty efficient wordsmith thus far, as my own personal opinions I've shared here are rarely ever viewed as not being damaging enough to simply ignore. Anyone with half a brain can see what's going on here.

I'm genuinely interested. Any one of you can feel free to PM me with the details. I'm totally serious.

I'd hardly consider Nirvana, Smashmouth, Queens of the Stone Age, or anything else the X played "classic rock". DVE plays classic rock though, sure. Perhaps the X was just catering to what the listening population wanted to hear? Did that ever occur to you? And who are you to dictate what we should or shouldn't be listening to? Maybe Pittsburghers just have a little more class themselves, and see it in the music that they prefer. Did you ever think of that?

Yeah...REALLY. WDVE plays classic rock. Classic rock is Hendrix, stones, etc. The X played new rock alternative. The bands I listed are not classic rock, they are alternative! Look it up!
