Anyway, been gone for a long time, but, was home for the first game at HF when Pitt joined the ACC... I thought that Sweet Caroline song was stupid... seems too contrived and its a crap song, anyway. Yuck!

I know some other teams use it too.

Never a fan of it myself but hopefully it gets used more this year.

So a low preseason ACC ranking, but I think that is appropriate. Better to set expectations low and let a team - once again with a new coach - take shape...

Pitt picked sixth in Coastal, plus my ballot

I don't expect either one to say anything different than they did, when asked.

I just hope they have a good year. I'm curious to see them play Pellini's team. Possibly curious enough to buy a ticket. I haven't gone to a Pitt game since Fitzgerald was there.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but since I started visiting here regularly in 1996 and moved here in 2002, it's been a WVU rivalry more than a PSU one. Same conference for most of that time, and some pretty big games in there. Not to mention one is an hour away and the other three hours away.

I was at the 12-0 game. At the time it didn't seem to me like much more than a decent Pitt team stifling some other crappy team, except for there being a lot of interest in making fun of the doddering, frail old guy pacing around the sidelines.

And if the B12 implodes, there's a decent chance WVU gets into the ACC. Academics wouldn't keep them out at this point, since the ACC already threw any pretense of academic standards aside when they took in Lousiville.

Historically PSU would be the bigger rival and the one most Pitt fans I know want to see continue.
