Today's game was the type of contest that they often lost in the past; hopefully, a good sign.
That being said, their history does not give me a lot of confidence in the streak continuing past Western Michigan & New Hampshire ( ???).
I can see them beating Georgia Tech & Virginia Tech & going into the Clemson game at 6-0. but that game t and the following with Miami may determine the kind of season that it will be. Hopefully, they can beat Miami, then maybe Duke & UNC is a split, then a final win v. Syracuse.
My guess is 10-2 at best, likely 9-3 or 8-4.
That defensive backfield better improve though! Better, less scatter armed QB's than those at Tenn. may pick them apart.

Tennessee isn’t a good team and their starting qb couldn’t hit a deep route to save his life but was a good win.

I see Pickett having a strong season and can see 8 wins.

Bingo on the defensive backfield. Thankfully Booker didn’t start the game.

I see four potential losses: Virginia Tech, Clemson, Miami, and North Carolina. A split on these four would be a 10 win season. I think more likely is 9-3.

6-6 would be a great season for Pitt.

Nah, they’ve had many 6 win seasons, and one just last season.

Look they suck. They haven't been any good since the 80's. The best they can hope for is the toilet bowl as they have been in now and again.

Now in the 80's they were pretty good. They got beyond the toilet bowl stuff.

Actually, the end of great football teams at Pitt started with Foge Fazio in 1983. The great teams were coached by Majors and Sherrill. Fazio started with two good teams whose seasons ended in bowl losses and Pitt football has never recovered to that level. The best team since then was the 2009 team that finished 10-3.

Nobody said otherwise. Are you saying Pitt won’t get 6 wins this season?

Tough loss. So much for the Narduzzi defense.

Well, I was certainly wrong to be cautiously optimistic about this Pitt team; they reverted to form today.
I should have expected it, under Nabozzo's inept "leadership."
He and Lyke should be gone yesterday; who do they have incriminating photos of?
