Tonight was a repeat on Jeopardy. It was Amy Schneider's first game. Of course, as many might be aware, she would WIN that and go on to win the next 40 or so games, making her one of Jeopardy's historic contestants.

she was quite a personality, too - a lot of life, very sharp, and not overly cocky with her long stay, as some contestants get to be.

one category on her first appearance was "Pittsburgh" something or other. I actually missed the entire run of that category.

So here is the city-data version! Present an 'answer' and allow someone else to provide the 'question'.
If correct, either by the originator's verification or if it's obvious (eg. 'The river formed by the confluence of the Monongahela River and the Allegheny River' would likely not need verification with most of us), move on and have someone else pose an answer. Of course in Jeopardy, things are reversed - an answer is given and you supply the question.

Not the early 20th Century writer whose influential works include The Rainbow and Sons and Lovers, instead he was the only mayor of Pittsburgh that held the office of governor, too. We can talk about him at the next convention!

1989In Pittsburgh, it's a shakedown outside a Grateful Dead concert as police make about two dozen arrests after some fans try to get in without tickets. "I don't want those deadenders ever back again," Mayor Sophie Masloff says.

Didn’t work

ah, correct...my memory scattered THAT with the famous trampling in cincinatti before The Who went on, and thinking Sophie wanted to prevent that here....people wanted to ban Marilyn Manson, too, by the way.
