Here's the data I found for FC:

They need to update their information.

Fox Chapel is the second wealthiest town in Pennsylvania, with an average household income of $285,122 and a median house value of $531,100. Almost every home is owned by its occupants, according to estimates based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey.

Yinz guys are confusing average and median.

Average means they take everyone's income, and divide them by (in this case) the number of households. In contrast, median means they look at what a household at the 50th percentile in an area earns.

Generally speaking, medians are always lower than averages. In terms of income, this is because there will be some exceptionally rich people with incomes in the millions, but no one can have a negative million income to offset this.

Looks like enough to have suv's and furniture in FC. Maybe the people in BW are using their furniture to save their parking spot.

True, but the fact is, Bradford Woods isn't even close to FC in income or home value.

Probably. I hate all the misleading crap on media. Do people really think you can compare Sewickley Heights to Bradford Woods? Go on Google Maps and have a look from the sky at those two places. Wealthiest? Please! The Heights makes Bradford Woods look like a trailer park.

While that's true, places like Fox Chapel and Sewickley have very high means relative to their medians, indicating a strong upward skew. As much as I hate to encourage Curt's inanity, just speaking from a pure numbers standpoint, Bradford Woods, while undoubtedly an affluent community (and I'm sure a perfectly fine place to live) has both lower medians and much less upward skew.

Do people who grew up in the North Hills still complain about how rich people from the South Hills are? Cause I used to hear that from a couple of North Hills natives I dated (before I wizened up and bagged me a dame from South Park).

What exactly is the appeal of living in auto-centric sub-divisions that offer neither the convenience or sense of community of city neighborhoods/small towns, or the tranquility and privacy of the country? Are they attractive to people who don't grow up in them?

Has Cranberry declared itself an independent republic yet?

Never heard anybody complain about rich people in the South Hills. Only reason I could imagine anybody in the North Hills complaining about SH money is if they don't/didnt have any/as much.

A republic? Not yet, but its safe, convenient, cheaper taxes, 25 minutes to Casino, Heinz Field, PNC Park, some better restaurants, etc... City is nice to visit, though.
