I am looking for recommendations for a reliable home cleaning service in the Robinson Twp area. I have received a quote from one cleaner that was twice as high as I was expecting- I am from a similarly sized metropolitan area and was comparing rates to those here. The cleaning service is for a relative who needs a hand. The home is 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, probably less than 2000 SqFt.

Thanks for any recommendations.

I can't give a recommendation for your side of town, but that size house is about $80-$100. It could be higher or lower depending on how messy it is, how often cleaning is needed (once a week is cheaper than biweekly or monthly), pets/no pets, extra stuff you want done aside from a normal cleaning, etc. You'll pay much more if you hire a cleaning services instead of an independent cleaner.

Did this similarly sized metro have a large population of unskilled and uneducated workers? That's usually the difference in pricing for services for our area compared to other cities.

I'd be interested in similar recommendations from any East Enders or thereabouts. A good, independent cleaning service would be something we could enjoy every couple of weeks

I do know someone who does the East End and Fox Chapel. I'll ask her if she has any days available.

thanks Hopes- this was a house with no pets, biweekly. Actually our metro area does not have a large population of unskilled/uneducated workers either- which is one of the reasons I was so surprised. The amount quoted was $189 which is about the same as I pay for a 4000 sqFt house here.

I would definitely prefer an independent service so that there is consistency in who is coming in and they can build trust with the family.

thanks for any suggestions

That's outrageous. I'll ask my friends who live in the South Hills, and I'll let you know if they know of anyone.

Well.. recommendation is good ,but sometimes thing went bad
Once i followed a same thing for that..and believe me it is not worth it.. I would not say all are bad but some are.
So i would recommend that you should do some research for local market area and do everything on yourself.
Sorry for anything said wrong

Back in my single days, I used The Maids, don't know if they are still around. Good deal, came every other week, and would even change the sheets. Got a wife to do that now, but much more expensive.
