As discussed elsewhere, there were some V-22 Osprey aircraft around town today. I only saw the last two before they disappeared behind a tree, and didn't get to see any more of them. Still, I phoned a buddy who shares my interest in aviation. During the 6 o'clock news, he called me to say that KDKA was going to run a story on them.

I tuned in. They teased that story at least twice more, and when it finally came up, it was about 30 seconds long, accompanied by a few far away still photos somebody had emailed them. I got a better look in the few seconds that I had to see them in person.

That really happened once. My husband and I just turned and looked at each other in amazement. I stuck around for a while to see what the food recall was. They dragged it well into the half hour, clearly saving it for the end of the news. I went online and googled it.
Anybody that has lived in this town for even a small amount of time shouldn't be amazed that Steeler news takes precedence.

but thats ok - EVERYTHING is about money. everyone has to get paid, right?

am i crazy, or did that guy with the eyebrows on KDKA equate "theraflu" medication (is that a cough syrup?) as "heroin"? no...he didnt equate the two, i am pretty certain he said "theraflu...its heroin...".

after 5 work days of hearing my raucous, noisy co-worker who cant change his disgusting odorous shoes without making a racket, i think i want to horde some theraflu.

Yep. Gotta get paid. They wouldn't be doing it if it didn't make money.

Theraflu, Bud Ice and Income Tax, no kidding , all heroin, all possibly laced with fentanyl.

Stamp bags with those names have been found at the scenes of the recent rash of ODs.

The writing on this is goofy in some places but will give you a little background:
