I don't have a feeder.

I see Cardinals around in winter occasionally, but they're usually silent.

Today, he was chirping. That was the first chirp I've heard for a few months. He wasn't singing his song yet, just warming up.

I agree! It is so pretty out there. Just never understood why people live in the north and hate an entire season. I LOVE this weather!

To be quite honest, people need to get off their butts and shovel. There are SO many fat people in the US. Great workout and you get something accomplished. I love to shovel the driveway and walks. Feels GREAT to do so. Get some air moving in those lungs. Of course some folks might be better off taking it quite easy judging from what I have seen around our region. Best to take great time because many don't move around much and do mostly sitting and eating.

I'm not actually allowed to shovel right now because of back surgery a few weeks ago but my wife is getting a good workout from shoveling the walks. (And doing everything else that I'm not allowed to do until I heal).

Haha.

I don't know though . . . I was in Weirton today en route to Cuyahoga Falls up by Cleveland. It was certainly a Hellish drive for getting "only an inch or two" today . . .

Anyone have a clue where to get salt/sno-melt in the S. Hills. I feel like I've covered all the obvious places in ML, USC, BP... none to be found.

Dunno how true this is but I heard that Petsmart and Petco have animal friendly salt for sale. A lot of people wouldn't think to shop there for salt so they supposedly have it in stock.
