dont read if youve had enough of this dark cloud....

a few years back in the 1990s, i think on Ward Street in Oakland, some degenerate dug through his basement, entered his next door neighbor's residence through her basement (unfinished dirt floor, presumedly), and killed the girl. she was a recent graduate of Pitt.

and....in the mid- to late 1990s, a guy i knew in college was shot in the back of the head, at Fifth Avenue/Tennyson (or Lytton?) and was paralyzed. that was so unbelievably tragic.

i so couldnt wait to leave this town back then....

so please no one tell me Pittsburgh isnt violent. it isnt south side chicago standards, but theres been more than enough. its always sad to see that police memorial at the church in bloomfield.

i had a friend who was stabbed to death in the 1980s going to work at Three Rivers. i bet his murderer is hanging out now, smoking pot, complaining about his making minimum wage and all the injustices done to him.

I'm really glad he wasn't active on the forum when Maddox Derkosh was eaten by wild dogs, or he'd find some way to blame that on the local culture as well.

Does anyone remember case if the severed head? The news kept showing a poorly enhanced image of the severed head. I believe the head was found in North Versailles prior to Walmart. I was a kid and had nightmares for months. Everyday before school the news outlets showed his severed head. I know his name was Michael but cant recall the last name.

Who cares what color the skin is? He is most likely an American and that is all that matters. We seem to have a lot of Americans that LOVE to kill others. People need to be kept busy. No more handouts, people need to be busy to survive, not wait around for someone to give them something. It is key to a successful society. Race is meaningless and I don't understand why people bother with it? This isn't the 1950's. Do people know it is after 2010? I mean get with the times!

It was the 700 block. If you look up that address on google maps, it's very close (a couple houses down) to the house pictured in the newspapers for the girls' residence. Google maps isn't exact. I'll check Allegheny County Real Estate's website to see if it's literally the house next door.

There is no 718 Chislett on the Allegheny County Real Estate website.

It goes from 715 to 721.
