Actually, you don't care about winter biking either, and yet you continue to post your far-right fanatical diatribe in this thread.

I imagine if Allegheny County wasn't subsidizing rural roads we'd already have the money to pay for it.

I care more about the safety of the many rather than the wants of the few, so I'm on the other side of the argument, but if there are viable and cost effective ways to have clear walks and paths them I'm all for it.

The snow in this case is on the sidewalk because it was cleared from the street. I don't see how that should be paid for specially by the people who want to use the sidewalk. It would be more reasonable for the cars to "deal with the snow" since the snow we are discussing feel on the road.

Buses, ambulances, police, emergency vehicles, etc..., also need to safely travel the roads. They don't need bike paths for that, not does the major majority of the population.

You keep saying that and it is still completely beside the point. First, anybody worried about the greatest increase in safety would be arguing for putting speed governors on cars. Second, the case described in the OP isn't about clear the sidewalks as much as it is about not deliberately dumping snow on the sidewalk to clear the road. That's not even remotely the same thing.

No. But nearly everybody does need sidewalks. Which is what we are talking about here. It's illegal for not to clear by own sidewalk within a reasonable time. It would be even more illegal for somebody to dump snow on my sidewalk to clear my driveway.

Speed governors on cars arent going to help them navigate better through the snow.

There's no way to clear large amounts of snow on the roads away from the sidewalks, therefore theres a want to get/have them cleared.

You want sidewalks? Get bootstrappy and pour the cement yourself. Stop talking handouts from the blessed corporations and Obummer like a freeloader. Only thing that matters are the roads so I can drive my VW on them.

So you have to clear your sidewalk in a reasonable time.

Then find a way to get all the other walks and paths cleared and present them to the powers that be. Its your only option other than simply walking rather than riding for a few months.
