I notice that Canada does that a lot too.

That's obviously because they rarely ever get first place on these lists, Pittsburgh has done that on many of them in the recent past. Combine that with the whole narrative of Pittsburgh climbing from the depths of collapse and is on the rebound after a generation of collapse and neglect, and you can easily see why they get posted and talked about on here.

Baloney! Denver, Boulder, and Minneapolis are often ahead of Pittsburgh on these lists, or close by. Look at the "literacy" list for example. Denver 6, Pittsburgh 5, Minneapolis 3.

I find the library sytem here very good. It seems much better than other cities I have lived in in terms of the collection of books, physcial spaces of the libraries, and efficiency in getting books through interlibrary loan. I actually use the public library more than the Pitt library because they can get books from other places more quickly.

Well a lot of people on here do things to counter ridiculous posts like this...

You probably don't see these on other cities forums either.

Who cares what is posted on other city forums?
Anyway, I agree that the libraries here are very good. As a frequent reader and someone who likes actual books (not e-readers) I use the system a lot.
