You might have had you not chosen to substitute tired stereotypes for actual knowledge.

I think we found the world's first omniscient human being ever! Mr. Drover...or should we call you Dr.? how does it feel to know absolutely everything? Clearly, you've never made a mistake nor are you ignorant in any way--congratulations!

Not really sure how constructive your comment was...anyway, I certainly realize that the coastal regions of Cali. tend to be more liberal while the inland areas tend to be much more conservative; however, I have family in both Northern and Southern California, and they seem to agree that Southern is really not that liberal and Northern is probably the most liberal region in the country (you can also check voting records). My point is this: there is a definite difference between Northern and Southern California that should not be overlooked.

You're swift for someone who denounces ignorance.

Why does this honestly surprise you? You apparently haven't been to the Scranton area lately. When I came out of the closet I had my MySpace inbox flooded with nasty comments from several people, including one whose comments about "resurrecting Hitler to finish the job he started" really irked me. Like it or not Americans hate gays. They like it when we compliment their fashion sense, their hair cuts, design their homes, star in their favorite television shows to entertain them, etc., but on a personal level we're second-class citizens. For all of my area's positives, its lone Achilles' Heel of intolerance/hatred/homophobia might eventually be the one thing that forces me to pack my bags and head for a more liberal community. Expect more headline news stories like this to occur as more and more people begin to worship hateful people like Ann Coulter, Rick Santorum, or Mike Huckabee.
