What happened causing the traffic backup tonight around midnight on I-376 near the squirrel hill tunnel inbound? It wasn't just going slow, it was completely stopped and people were getting out of their cars to try to figure out what it was.

There are closures of the tunnels between 10 PM and 10am on the weekends for construction that has been ongoing. That is likely the cause.

OVERNIGHT SINGLE LANE RESTRICTIONS HAVE RESUMED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.

Overnight single lane restrictions will occur according to the following schedule

Eastbound (outbound) single lane traffic
· Weeknights (Monday through Thursday nights), 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
· Weekends (Friday and Saturday nights), 11 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Westbound (outbound) single lane traffic
· Weeknights (Monday through Thursday nights), 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
· Weekends (Friday and Saturday nights), 10 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Lane closures will not begin until 1 hour after any Penguins home game
