We just arrived late Sunday night and I'll start my new job Monday. I have 2 teen boys who are bored out of their minds. They go back to Chicago Friday night to finish the school year. We have had a crappy week overall as our dog died early Monday morning from the motion sickness drugs the vet gave us for him. So we need to get out of this funk! Suggestions please! Thanks!

Awe. That's so sad about your dog. My condolences.

It's pretty cold out. What do they like to do? We have a science center on the North Shore. The aviary is nearby too. Would they enjoy something like that? What about the museum? It's located across from Pitt's Cathedral of Learning in Oakland. That's not as fun I guess. Laser Tag? There's a place on McKnight Road. There's a Dave & Busters in Homestead. Give us an idea of what they like to do on a cold day.

How about Dave and Busters? Seems like you had a crappy week, so maybe some games would be fun. Since they are teens, maybe go there for the afternoon, not night.

Ice skating? Pittsburgh has a few neat rinks. There's one at PPG as I recall, another nice one in Schenley Park, and Penguin's Pond in Southside Works.

We went by the waterfront yesterday. What are they into. Of course their friends. Music. Malls. Sports. And not hanging out with mom! Lol.

Ross Park Mall is on McKnight Road. You could split up so they can get some free time from Mom.

Laser Storm is down the street if you want to do both. Sadly, it's too cold for outdoor stuff.

We ended up at the Mt. Washington overlook and another after lunch. Thanks for all the suggestions. They'll be back after school ends so hoping the next 3 months flies by. Have an awesome weekend everyone!

I was going to say--ride the inclines! I am glad you had a good day.
As an animal lover I feel just sick about your dog. Here's to better things in the near future.

Thank you. Yes it was a very tough week with Louis passing. I appreciate it! Once I start work Monday it will get better. Have a great weekend!
