Yeah, income growth for the very top executives.

Meanwhile, it's 2014 and the locals are going on hunger strikes to demand better pay:

income growth for executives isn't enough to move the needle like this. Yes there are issues with UPMC, but this is a reflection of a variety of industries, not one, or executives...

Executive pay has risen by the millions from 2010 - 2013 while real wages have stagnated (or even fallen) for lower employees since the 1970's. Pittsburgh is not an oasis from this problem. Having citizens of a first world nation go on hunger strikes to protest laughable wages in the city's biggest employer is not something that can merely be brushed aside.

While people will use Google to find anything they can to prop up their worldview the reality is that real people are going through real problems with low wages here and they're taking to the streets to solve it.
