& if she wants to go in there you still might want to reconsider as there's a 50/50 chance you might end up with the clap or the hiv

Or just duct tape him to the damn thing if you're that worried about it.
For me it's more about the peanut noodles and the cake buffet.

As I said in the other thread, we eat more in South Side than Lawrenceville these days, because they have several places which are both vegan and kid friendly now (OTB, Double Wide, and Pipers after the reformat) in contrast, all Lawrenceville really has is Franktuary.

Has Double Wide gotten any better recently? The last couple times I was there everything was grossly undercooked, like my veggie burger was cold in the middle, and the service was terrible. That was about three years ago, however.

OTB is fantastic. They have the only seitan wings in town that can give Spak a run for their money.

When did Pipers become veggie friendly? I remember them having one or two options a while back, but they were fairly unspectacular.

Double Wide is passable. I like getting the meatless stroganoff usually. Our daughter will eat the food there, which is the main reason we keep coming back.

Piper's now has a lot of vegan things, including hummus, seitan wings, a seitan Thai chili wrap, Mediterranean vegan burger, grilled zucchini and hummus sandwich, vindaloo curry, and meatless loaf. The seitan Thai chili wrap is like OTB's Alley Cat, only three times as goos.

I'm not a vegan, nor have I made it there yet, but I've heard very good things from friends that are about the amazing cafe, though so far their menu is a bit limited

I love seitan, I love Thai chili, and I love things in wrap form. That has to be good.

I haven't actually had the Alley Cat at OTB. Always gone for veggie tacos, burgers, or wings. And beer, the greatest vegan food of all.

That is quite a neighborhood' Kudos to you for taking the time. I would like to see someone come up with a list for the desolate stretch between Station Square, but not including, and 10th Street. The area is probably suited more for future residential since there are not many storefronts. I can see conversions o f existing o l Der buildings and new construction of residential dwellings happening here in the next decade. There surely will be a demand connecting Station Square ,South Side and Downtown. Any way below 10th in no particular order, Abe Bernstein Big and Tall ,Dominos, Brewskis, What else?

Great little place. The Pitt-City Rugby guys and gals are awesome (and borderline psychotic, like all rugby players).
