Hi, I was curious if people out there can recommend or warn us about rental agencies with properties in Squirrel Hill... We are planning to move there from the MWS and really would love to find either a family style landlord or at the very least a professional and good management company.

The only one I've heard truly terrible things about is Lobos Management, also known as The Apartment Network. Many reports on the internet about them. I currently rent from Steiner Realty which is pretty good. Fixed the ceiling when reported cracking. They turn the heat up pretty high in the winter even though that utility is included.

I second both above motions; we were at a holiday party and were discussing this. My fiance works in housing and dinning at CMU and has dealt with Lobos (Ron "Sobol" backwards) and they have the worst reputation throughout the city. We looked at a Steiner property and dealt with the owner, Casey Steiner. He is a great guy, the property was just in a location that I was not comfortable in. He owns a renovated school near us in Point Breeze. My old landlords, Mcquarters Realty, aren't bad either. They have multiple properties in Squirrel Hill.
