Yes exactly and many of the monthly minimum fees are no big deal for a large business, but small businesses are really hit hard by these fees.

I for one won't shop at a cash only business.
I don't carry cash anymore.

I always have cash because I don't like my bank to know how much I drink.

Cash is king, and I need to start carrying more of it. I enjoy getting discounts when I pay with cash, and I also like that it's harder to trace. The ATM can indicate that cash was withdrawn, but it can't indicate where the cash was spent. I have nothing to hide either; I just don't think it's anybody's business where I buy goods or services.

Cash is not king. It has no in built guard against inflation & other issues. That's what stocks are for.

I went to a movie theater in Jamestown last weekend and it was cash only. First one I was ever in, and it was a regional chain.

I'm not waiting in line for a sandwich behind a guy trying to pay with fractional shares of Google stock or something.

I don't know why it's surprising that a city who has a long history of frugality (for very legit reasons) is not flush with small businesses willing to take on the burdens of nickle and dime fees with open arms.
