They're probably updating their database of where on everyone's house the mailbox is. Some people want their mail delivered at the back door so that's where they put the box, some have a side door, etc.

It's likely related to all the rumblings of stopping house-to-house delivery going on lately.

Thanks! They have many offices listed, but it looks like it might be the East Liberty one on Broad that serves us. Their phone is busy though for the last 15 minutes.

Ahh, that is good to know. This could have been a dodge caravan.

The phone at the East Liberty post office is often busy all day long. If you have the time, you may be better served by going in person.

I wouldn't waste time going to the post office. You should have called the police. It's not too late to make a report. You could save your neighbors the heartache of being burglarized. At the very least, police would have description if something happened in the neighborhood. If it was a postal worker, no harm will result from notifying the police, and you'll do your neighbors a favor if it wasn't a postal worker.
