I figured out that all buses starting with "3" on the maps are the Accordion types, and all "5" are your standard type bus..... Haven't seen any of the Coach style buses around town anymore, guess they're gone.

Too bad it doesn't have the arrival times!
I've tried this on my phone and the map loads but not the buses. Has anybody else been able to get it to work on a phone? I have a droid, but it is old.

I have a Samsung Media Player 5 (Wifi only) running Gingerbread, and can see the buses, when I have wifi, that is.

I guess I never tried it with WiFi. It does work on my home wireless. Must be a bandwidth issue over the cell network.

tried both Tiramisu and Transit last night. pretty cool stuff, and apart from a bus turning up out of the blue (which at 10.30pm on a cold night made us very hoppy), it worked well. I shall keep testing ...

The technology works great, but here is my problem with the real time tracking system... PAT has not installed the system on older buses, and those older busses are used on routes that are supposed to have the real time tracking system working... so on days when your route is using an old bus (which for me seems to be often) the wonderful technology becomes nearly useless.

Yahbut, doesn't that mean a bus shows up when you aren't expecting it? /glasshalffull

Yeah, if I am standing at the stop, then an unexpected bus is good. But if my aim is to stay working until the bus is a few minutes away, then the system doesn't work because I don't really know when the next bus is coming. Like I said, the technology is very nice... but PAT being involved to muck it up by not spending the time to install on older buses is just plain annoying.

Keep in mind, its also not fully installed on the New buses either (6000's) so that will also show holes. I understand that PAT needed to get the new buses on the Road so that older ones can be maintenance'd or scrapped altogether, but protocol going forward should be that New Buses don't into Passenger Service until their GPS's are fully functioning and reporting to the Tracker. This is avoid showing holes in service.

What would be nice, is if the Driver could push a button on the console that would broadcast to the Tracker when the bus is too Full to take on more passengers. The Glorified School Buses (54's/61's/71's) it would really be beneficial.
