On September 27th, Wilkinsburg is having it's second House and Garden tour. Here's the link for more info:

Just thought I'd pass this along. Apparently last year's tour was a great success.

interesting. I assumed this was the Blackridge house and garden tour. There are some amazing homes in that section of Wilkinsburg. Biddles Escape is my favorite coffee shop.

I'd really love to see Wilkinsburg turn itself around. When I was a teenager, I was....ahem...."ordered" to attend a weekend work camp for troublesome young men one summer, and one of the projects that we helped out with was renovating an old school in Wilkinsburg into a community center. I met a lot of good people there, and have fond memories of that experience. Wilkinsburg was a beautiful town at one point, and it would be great to see it be the next Pittsburgh neighborhood to turn itself around.

The Hosana House is a true community asset. There are so many programs for youth and families.
