Officially we had a trace of snow from the graupel today which is the earliest first snow in Pittsburgh since 1989.

My daughter had a soccer game at Cupples Stadium on the Southside. The field was covered in ice pellets. Then the sun appeared.

We had patches of snow deep enough to cover areas of my deck, visible around parts of the yard, and on the car Saturday evening.

I think we need more weather threads! Pittsburgh folks just love to discuss weather! It did snow in parts of Western PA. I do think this is going to be a very long cold winter!
