Thanks everyone! I was searching the forums and found some really negative posts in other areas regarding toddler parties (apparently this is too young for a party), so I was a bit apprehensive. You've all been kind (and funny lol), I appreciate that. These are good suggestions, I'll look into all of them. We live in Verona, but have car and will travel for something fun.

I like Gymkhana and some of the other suggestions that have been made for that age. You could also check out Jump Zone if some of the kids are older. Just take your kiddo there first to make sure he/she isn't afraid of some of the larger inflatable jump things. And check out their specials - party - page. They sometimes have better deals there.

Some YMCAs have party spaces and the kids go in the tumbling area for a bit. Sewickley has one but not sure what's out your way.

Or see if a church hall will rent out their space and have some kid games there.

I took my son to a party at McDonald's by south hills village, the had a separate party room, a large indoor playroom. The kids had a great time.

There are a few bounce house places that are pretty good for parties. Wildwood Highland is pretty nice too. The ball pit area is good for younger kids. Cranberry has a place like it too.

The zoo is pretty expensive and not really worth it in my opinion.

How about the Children's Museum, The roller rink at Neville Island, the history museum (does he love dinosaurs?), Color Me Mine... they can all paint while at the birthday party

How about Skyzone trampoline park? The host birthday parties and have todlers only times. Sky Zone Oaks Birthday Parties

I don't have kids and tend to avoid them but eve see no reason to frown on parnets wanting to have a special party fr their kid. If you can afford it and it makes you feel good and your kid happy... go for it.
