If so, what neighborhood or suburb of PGH do you live in? Do you work? If so, what do you work as? I'm just curious. A weird post, I know.

Sorry to give you a non-answer, alastad, but I just want to interject that Youngstown is definitely a place I would consider relocating to. Its not quite Pittsburgh - but my GOd are some people there so kind. Decent homes - CHEAP. Easy to drive around - obscenely easy with little stress and few traffic pinch points.

OK, back to your regularly scheduled program.

I grew up in Wintersville, OH. I lived in Mt Washington Pittsburgh for a while and now I'm in Beaver. A lot of people live there (Steubenville/Jefferson County OH) and commute to the Airport or Downtown areas, though. It's not a bad drive.

My wife is from that area, still has family there. Definitely affordable and not that long of a drive to Pgh.

Not a single person has come close to answering the OP's question. He didn't ask about living in Ohio, he asked if anyone from Steubenville lived in the Pittsburgh area, and where in the PITTSBURGH AREA they lived.

The Steubenville area is in the PGH tri state area, yes, but outside of the PGH metro area. The PGH metro area being defined as Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette and Armstrong counties. The tri state area is humongous. It can cover as far north as Mercer County and as far south as Clarksburg/Parkersburg.

As far as the Steuby area not being that far of a drive from PGH? uh, from Burgettstown and its surrounding communities yeah, but not from the airport area, that's over a 20 min drive! I mean, yeah, it's a straight shot, but still. Don't mind me though, the part of PGH that I grew up in, and live in today, is 10 mins in each direction from major shopping, and I love to shop and eat out at places, so to me, having to live too much farther than 10 mins from a major shopping destination, is TOO FAR, lol, unless I really like the area.

Affordable? It's beyond affordable. It's bottom of the barrel cheap! Hell, it's below bottom of the barrel cheap, lol. My boyfriend is from there, and I'm sorry, but him and the people he knows from there, and I am sorry to say it, are cheapskates. They think having to pay more than $400 a month, with all utilities included, for a 1br apt, is expensive. Hell, my boyfriend thinks having to pay over $1000 in property taxes is expensive. I'm like, what do you think this is, 1979?
