Per this rendering, it would be mighty nice if there were just a few handicapped spots and the remainder of the surface was an urban park/square type of setting. I have to agree that it's ugly. From South Highland, you can't really see this and it just looks like a road straight through.

people that have backgrounds in architecture combined with over forty years of residency in the east end and an office in east liberty tend to be concerned with the quality of new real estate developments in the area, especially ones that are as large as an aircraft carrier like eastside 3

the hotel indigo is going to be a spectacular failure, mark my words, and the ace hotel will be a moderate success

You don't have to live in Franklin Park, Cranberry, etc..., but you've expressed your distaste for the areas.

Sounds like CFP is actually in and around the area involved.

the most recent plan seems to indicate a two way street with parallel parking on the busway side of the street
apartment residents will get to listen to cars, buses and trains - very soothing

As a pizza-loving resident of the East End, this pleases me.

Not quite 'sliberty, but do you happen to know what's going on on the corner of Penn and Mathilda in Garfield/Bloomfield?

Zeke's coffee had a live band with outdoor seating on Penn Ave last Saturday. My son and I was able to enjoy the music after hair cuts. I really like the new space.

Liking the Pizzuvio concept, but it sounds a lot like 800 degrees, which is out west. Hardly revolutionary or "world changing" as he states.

800 Degrees Pizza

When I was out in LA this summer, I thought something like this would do really well in our area, I just don't have the capital to make it happen (yet). Looks like someone is now beating me to the game, and I won't be making money by ripping off someone else's idea.

Action Housing bought the old garage. They are building affordable housing for vets with 1st floor retail. It seems like a pretty exciting project.
