I personally think its criminal to label a house or block as being part of a more affluent neighborhood just to get more $$. this is a comment to STBs update at the end of page #1. ugh, that just irks me.

North Euclid Street from Station Street to Stanton Avenue;
Baum Square from South Euclid to Sout Highland avenues;
South Highland Avenue from Centre to Penn avenues;
Eva Street from South Euclid Avenue to South Beatty Street;
South Whitfield Street from Baum Boulevard to Penn Avenue;

Thank God, those roads have gotten beyond a point where patching has much of any effect.

They are ugly. The only worse thing I can think of is that black-and-silver "quilted" building you can see from Forbes at CMU.

You cannot be referring to the Kates building? If so, the Gates building is impressive when up close and personal.

It's this architectural lovely ("Gates," btw, not "Kates") of which I speak. From Forbes Avenue, it looks like a schmancified tarpaper shack, dolled up a bit with tinfoil trim.

Oxford is expanding the number of apts at this location. Being just a block from whole foods, I'm wondering why they wouldn't try to maximize the land use by building higher - it's still going to be just 6 floors. Is it really that much more expensive to build higher if you could add so many more units (some with great views) with say a 9 or 10 story building? I think a little variety in building height would do well for the neighborhood. A bunch of 6 story buildings is going to seem pretty bland.

Capri Pizza will be closed for a while, after a reckless motorist plowed into the building this week. Hopefully, they'll be up and running quickly, there aren't too many places left for the hoi polloi in East Lib nowadays.
