Local Doctors (Pittsburgh, Washington, Lincoln: health insurance, university, office)

After many years of just going to a clinic for my medical care I finally have decent health insurance. I also am getting a bit older and feel that I really need to have a relationship with one doctor who can help me to look into some issues that need attention. Since I don't have family in Pittsburgh I find that it is not so simple to choose someone by word of mouth as one might usually do. I am not particular about whether they are male or female so long as they have a good manner and are patient and willing to listen and actually want to help their patients. I would like to not feel like one more face in a crowd. In my current search for a PCP I got to wondering if this forum might be a useful place for getting information on health care providers for those who are also new to the area and looking for the right person.

I will be seeing Dr Scott Recalde, in Greenfeld next week for a first meeting. While there was not a lot about him available on line other than his education and brief history, he is partnered with a Dr Knupp, who has very good reviews on line and their office is very convenient to my home, so I am hoping for good things.

So ,if you don't mind sharing...

Who is your PCP or where do you go for your routine medical care?
How did you find them?
Any special things about them that you like/dislike?
How hard is it to get an appointment?

Anything you want to share or add that could be useful for others who need to find a good local Dr?

She came highly recommended.
She takes time to listen and is very thorough.
I find it easy to get an appointment.

I like Dr Danforth Lincoln at upcm family medicine on Wilkins in Sq Hill.

Not too difficult to get an appt and they've always seen me soon if illness arose. Only one time they squeezed me in that the wait was ridiculous but I think it was because one doc had to attend to emergency.

I use Cecil family medical Family Medicine | Washington Hospital I see Dr Sherwood, she spends a lot of time with my wife and me. They are neutral on the highmark upmc battle, so you will loose your Dr.
