If I were in the middle of East Lib, and was in the mood for pizza, I'd go to Capri.

So, how about Fazio's? I don't recall that I ever got a pizza there, but I had a hoagie when I first moved back to Pgh and it was great.

The reason I posted this question was to confirm that a similar place, if done right, will work on Carson.

It was decent in it's day (especially for Pittsburgh pizza), but definitely not a loss to mourn.

Pizza Taglio looks pretty good. Reminds me a lot of Jules' Thin Crust, which I enjoy.

Most of the myths that the difference in tap water/ingredients in NYC are what make the pizza the best are wrong. While it has the potential to make a slight difference, there are plenty of good NYC area pizza places that use PFG/Roma or US Foods as their distributors, which are both national. I think its really just a culture difference of what people expect from their pizza place.

Pizza discussions here are always entertaining. Take much of it with a grain of salt. Plenty of good pizza around and always room for more.

It always surprises me that there are so many pizza place in Pittsburgh, yet when I lived there and went to Pitt, we never ate pizza. I think maybe I was too much of a pizza snob (which I'm not anymore), coming from an NYC suburb. I'm definitely excited to try whats out there when I move to Pittsburgh in the next month or two.

Also, someone just told me Genarros opened up in the old Pizza Sola spot and named the place "Sola Pizza"??? Not sure if this is true or not.
