For about six or eight months now? Home Page Casa Rasta - Caribbean - East Liberty - Pittsburgh, PA - Reviews - Photos - Yelp

I think they got off to a rocky start and have a smaller menu now. I haven't actually made it to the East Liberty digs, so I can only vouch for the Beechview location.

There's a Caribbean place in downtown Wburg. A diner too.

Ah...now I see. It's Caribbean, not Mexican. I saw "casa," and, well, you know. I'll try it, someday, when I wouldn't rather eat pizza next door or a BRGR around the corner (notice I did not mention Patron).

A little blast from the past

Wasn't all that long ago that people were saying Bellevue had always been dry and would/should stay dry because that's how it was. What a difference a few years and some committed people (and younger residents?) make. Good for them.

Nullspace: Counting under the influence - assessing the Allegheny County drink tax.
That nutspace is a joke. Of course the state is losing places. PA is taxed to death, so people are leaving. We used to have 32 seats in the senate now we have 12!

Also, about 5 years ago, the dumb state stores were a little scared so they froze prices. BOOM overnight when they knew they were safe my single malt price was raised $5 IN ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How much does a bar pay for their booze? SAME AS ME without the tax!

The Onorato tax was just the nail in the coffin for many places older people would go out for a drink. It is just too expensive for most to buy a drink at a restaurant these days. Go up north a little out of the tax crazed Allegheny County and you can actually get a good beer for $3.75. In Allegheny County, you will be drinking Coors pee water. On top of all this, look at homes in our area. Tons of people are paying near $1,000 a month in real estate taxes! I have been looking around, but the taxes are just too high to move. Best to have a very small home and never fix it up.

Enjoy the day.

I think he means the House of Representatives. And he's still wrong. We used to have 36 seats in the House of Representatives and now have 18. Maybe he only counts Republicans.

This is just wrong. There are few things I do more often than get a good beer for $3.75 or less without leaving Allegheny County. I've been know to do it several times in a row, ideally while eating a cheeseburger or something.

Lately, I've been traveling around the country at bit more than usual and I've found myself missing Pittsburgh bar prices. Granted, I don't drink much single malt scotch, but I don't drink Coors either.
