I'm closing on my first preservation project / rental property next month in the Woods Run section of the Pittsburgh (North Side). The first project will be to install a new roof. Since this is a low value property, I am interested in lower cost roof replacement options, since I do not want to go over-budget on renovations. It is a simple gabled roof with one chimney and low slope. The roof / house is very small.

Let me know if you could recommend a reasonably priced contractor. Thank you!

PP, if you have not done so already I recommend joining the NextDoor sites for Brighton Heights/Brightwood. People ask for recommendations like this all the time there.

And congratulations! I wish you the best in this endeavor.

I used a guy named Jason Arnold for siding a couple of years ago. He did a roof down the street and dropped a flyer in my mail box. I was able to talk him down a lot in price (roughly half). He was a basically a guy with a buddy and a truck. His number was 412-925-7128.

I also have a great guy for the inside stuff who does time and materials. He has done a ton of work for us. He just gutted a house for a friend.
