Geez. Make you wonder how many crashes there are that don't get reported. This one could have been a cyclists crashing on their own? Hard to say I guess. I found nothing about it anywhere.

My cycling style has certainly changed over the years. I get around our city with motor vehicle avoidance. It is becoming more and more doable, but there could certainly be improvements to really make it great. I will literally jump up on sidewalks if I see a PAT Bus, or semi truck approaching from behind. They hate cyclists for the most part. Also, if I see a pickup I tend to get away from them as fast as I can. I have been riding for a very long time around here and just profile what is behind me, but these days so many people speed, which is the LEADING cause of death on our roadways ahead of drunk driving, by .03%, so I just know everyone is selfish and you have to ride accordingly to stay alive. Look at how aggressive people are even if you are a pedestrian in a crosswalk and you have the right of way. I often get honked at while crossing and I am going fast! It is getting worse and worse and there are going to be way more deaths each year. There is no stopping it, so it is up to those on foot or cycling to adjust to the new super selfish drivers. I think the Internet/hyped up media is to blame really. People are getting crazy and I feel it will get worse. Just a ton of anger out there. I sure miss the 70's and 80's. What great times.

It was an older couple (50's)...both bikes were in the grass off the side of the road. I think the woman was the one that was inured...the man was walking around. I saw the police talking to someone who wasn't biking (i.e., I saw not helmet, etc.), but I didn't see a car close by the bikes. So I can't really say that it was a car-bike incident. I guess the good thing is that whatever it was wasn't bad enough to get reported.
