I would guess, given the gender skew of the LGBT community as a whole is male, the percent of participants who'd want to ogle Nick Jonas is significantly higher.

I think that's understood, but the person on KDKA was a woman involved in the organization of the event, her goal wasn't to ogle anyone, but just to get someone to perform the audience would appreciate.

The audience should enjoy this show more than they would have Ms. Azalea's performance, which seems to be more geared to the white teenage boy demographic.

Ding-ding-ding.

Also, no sexually ambiguous male performer has done more to endear himself to the gay male community over the last couple of years than Nick Jonas. He's even playing gay on a cable drama about boxers. Googling "nick jonas shirtless gay" renders: About 1,740,000 results (0.41 seconds) https://www.google.com/search?q=nick+jonas+shirtless+gay&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-

The only azaleas that matter in Pgh this June are the ones in your front yard.

Until this whole hubbub came down this past week, I had never heard of Ms. Azalea, she pulled out before I even heard of her much less knew that she was booked for a Pittsburgh performance.

On the other hand, I was aware of the Jonas Brothers, but thought they had disappeared already like the New Kids on the Block and In Synch did before them. Boy bands have a tough time of it once their boys grow into men.

I'm disappointed no one in the local gay community has been clever/devious enough to trick Toby Keith into headlining.

Nick Jonas? To paraphrase Bianca Del Rio, really boys?

clever/devious? that's something Delta would do un-ironically.

I dunno, it seems like their incompetence stops just short of being funny.
