I have never vomited on or near Carson St. nor peed on anyone's stoop.

Haven't been to the Carnegie Museum of Art, although have been to pretty much every other Carnegie museum.
Randyland. I've had dinner with Randy couple of years ago, but never been to his place.
Penn Brewery.
A Kenny Chesney concert :-)

Including:
- Cathedral of Learning
- Just Ducky/Gateway Clipper
- Mattress Factory
- Steelers game (I've been to a Pens game, but not at Consol)
- Rivers Casino
- Maxo Vanka murals

What are yours?
Tip about the Just Ducky tours. My daughter's Girl Scout troop planned a Ducky tour last May. Due to increased rains, we were not able to go in the water. We were all kind of upset about it. We did get a great tour around town but something about going ON the water makes the experience. I would double check about it when you book a tour especially if there has been frequent rain.

We have gone to the Cathedral of Learning during the holidays (I believe tours are from the first of December until January) when the Nationality Rooms were decorated per the country's traditional decor for their winter holidays. The rooms were beautiful and educational (learning a bit about winter holidays in countries/time periods that I did not know much about.)

Nobody has mentioned the Natural History Museum. I'm hoping that's because everybody has already gone.

Wow, I realize that I haven't done many of the cool things there are to do here since I was a kid. I may have to go check out some of these things again.

Things I haven't done yet.

Ducky tour (I've been on the Gateway Clipper, it was a pretty cool tour.)
Kayak Pittsburgh
Mattress Factory
Andy Warhol Museum
Heinz Hall
Falling Water (I don't know why I haven't been there yet, I love Wright's work.)

I'll suggest one that haven't been mentioned yet, ride the bike trails. I would recommend the GAP trail. Start at the Waterfront pump house, and read the plaques about the Battle of Homestead. Then ride the trail up to Mckeesport. It's a fun ride, and you can still see the remnants of Pittsburgh's industrial past. There is still a lot of industry across the river in Braddock that you can see from the trail. Every time I ride that trail, I can't help but to think about how the whole Mon valley looked like that once.

Other things that have been mentioned that I haven't done, either: Randyland, Bayernhof Museum, and I'm not super outdoorsy so the bike and hiking trails have been lost on me thus far.

Thinking about it, there are a lot of things in town that I've done only once that maybe I should get back to, like the zoo, Kennywood, the Aviary.

  • Banjo Night
  • Punk Rock Karaoke
Trundle Manor and Saint Anthony Chapel are great. I've yet/really want to see the bolded, especially the Bayernhof, which is a pain in the rear to schedule. They offer very limited tours and are awful at picking up the phone when one calls to reserve tickets.
