The people that I heard of that have done this have been into horses. They need the land that they can't find at a reasonable price. Land, stable, fencing 100 acres, dream house, caretakers house, and vehicle barn can run a half a million extra around here.

Thanks for all the replies but no one has answered my question. I guess I'll have to rephrase it. My question is what parts of Pittsburgh are people from who move to the Steubenville-Weirton area?

Simple. People who want cheaper/better housing and taxes. I have a friend that drives from Steubenville to Robinson everyday. The ride outweighs the ridiculous taxes he would have to pay. In his words "It's just not worth it".

It's really simple. When the city/county get officials that don't steal, things will change. Until then things may change but I suspect it's too late. There's no reason to get less for more. Simple math, really.

well, there actually is a big reason to get less for more: not having to live in Steubenville.

And that's your opinion. Many say the same about Allegheny Co/da burgh and why they/we live where we do.

Nobody moves from Pittsburgh to Steubenville unless they are from there or married into a family from there.
